What tells well is
tells well is a voice coaching app for storytelling. It listens during a session, helps you shape what you tell, and keeps the stories you want to tell again. It is a practice tool. It is not therapy, medical advice, or professional communications training, and nothing it produces should be treated as any of those.
Your account
An account is created on your device when you first open the app. You are responsible for the device you use it on. Keep your content lawful and your own: do not use Tells Well to record people without their knowledge where the law requires their consent.
Membership and billing
- tells well is free to download. Full access requires a membership, sold as an auto-renewing subscription through Google Play on Android or the App Store on iPhone.
- The price, billing period, and any free trial are shown in the app before you confirm, and again by the store at the point of purchase. Those figures are the ones that apply.
- A yearly membership may include a free trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, it converts to a paid year automatically.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Payment is taken by Google Play or Apple, not by us.
Cancelling and refunds
Cancel any time in your Google Play account, under Payments and subscriptions, or on iPhone in Settings, under your Apple Account and Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal; access continues to the end of the period you have already paid for. Refunds are handled by Google Play or Apple under their policy, and your statutory rights are unaffected.
Your stories stay readable to you, and you can export them, whether or not your membership is active.
Your content
The stories, recordings, and notes you create are yours. You give us only the permission needed to run the service for you: to store your content, process it with the providers described in the privacy policy, and show it back to you. We do not use it to train models for anyone else, sell it, or publish it.
Ending your use
You can delete your account and all its data at any time, from Settings in the app or via the account deletion page. We may suspend an account that is being used unlawfully or in a way that damages the service for others.
Availability and liability
We aim to keep tells well available and working, but it is provided as-is. Sessions depend on your connection and on third-party providers, and may occasionally be interrupted. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to the amount you paid in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
